"Soothing Sanctuaries" Stage 4 Getaway
When living with stage 4 breast cancer, a fighter is tossed into a whirlwind of medical consults, treatments, surgery and confusing new information that comes with their diagnosis. This special project aims to help our members that are fighting stage 4 breast cancer. While trying to find balance and joy during this challenging time, BCSOK has created an opportunity for a breast cancer fighter to shift the focus back on living life by making lasting memories along with their caretaker/loved one. We need your help so we can continue offering stage 4 getaways to the breast cancer warriors. Please follow the link below if you would like to make a contribution towards this important project:
"Hand made with love" Care Packages
Our care packages are "Hand made with love" and each package is individually unique. While going through treatments and surgeries for breast cancer, it's nice to know that people out there really do care. Our care packages include a hand made lap blanket, hand made beanie and/or head wrap, t-shirt, hand made crocheted cleavage, hand made port pillow, hand mixed organic body butter, hand poured soy vegan candle and more! They are free for the breast cancer members who are fighting breast cancer. In order to continue distributing the care packages, we need continued help from the community. To make a tax deductible donation to help with the expenses that come with filling the packages with love, and postage fees to deliver the love, please follow the link below:
Project BUBER
Not having a ride should never stand between a breast cancer fighter and her life saving treatments. Project BUBER is a free service offered by BCSOK that eases the burden by giving free rides to and from breast cancer related medical appointments. A sister survivor picks them up, takes them to their appointment, then drops them back off at home. Breast cancer treatments are hard in so many ways, and this service helps make the warriors day a little easier.
We love our volunteers!
Help and contributions of a volunteer, no matter how big or small, can help BCSOK make a difference. Breast Cancer Survivors Oklahoma is growing fast and we could always use an extra hand. From our "Hand Made With Love" care packages, to crocheting or sewing lap blankets and cleavage, or from events to fundraisers we can always use an extra hand! Please contact us if there is anyway you would like to help.
